Beretta 92s Is In!

So the Berretta 92s got here a few days ago from J & G Sales. Here is the link to the offer. At the time I purchased, they was $249.95 plus $28.60 to ship it across the country. Add in my local FFL fee of $25 and it was mine. So.... you wanna see it?

Overall the quality is a little less than what I was expecting, but still happy overall. It shined up really well with a through cleaning. A big down side was the gripe screws were pretty much destroyed.
That little bugger down there on the bottom was a real PITA to get out. It would not budge. In order to remove the grips, I had to drill the fastener.

Ending up getting it out so all is good! Ordered 4 more from Numrich Gun Parts which should be here soon.

Now I have never held or shot a 92 series Beretta so when I take it out for the first time I'll have to update. But one thing I noticed is with the hammer cocked, the trigger had such little pull. It felt amazing! I think follow up shots with this thing would be really great!

I'll update you guys with more as I test it out!

Ordered a new pistol!

If any of you get the emails from J&G Sales, you may have seen that they have Police Trade in Beretta 92S for sale for $249.95. You can find the sale at this link.

So I decided to jump on one. Now, there was no hand pick option. The total including shipping came out to $278.55. That's with a 2,100 mile shipping distance. I hate that federal law makes it so handguns have to be shipped by air two day or something. Or maybe it's just FedEx. I don't remember.

I think that J&G's website has a low bandwith cap becuase it was next to impossible to order the gun. But anyway, ordered 08FEB17, confirmed FFL 10FEB17, shipped 11FEB17 and should be here on the 14th! Happy Valentines day to me!

PSA Complete Blem Lower

Now if you're like me, and I assume you are since you're here reading this, you enjoy a deal. Which is why more than once I have found myself on the website of Palmetto State Armory checking out their daily deals. On any given day, you'll probably see thrown up there their "Blem Lowers". Here is a complete one I picked up a few weeks back.
I believe that this cost me about $150. It came with everything you see in the picture, minus the ammo can. Now, a quick look at it shows that there isn't any machining defects or tooling marks. But...if you look closely, you'll notice something off. Here is a comparison with an Anderson Lower I have.
Notice it? How about when I slap my retro upper on it. (It's the only upper I currently have.)
That's right. This isn't a camera trick. The lower is blue. That being said... I don't really care! The fit was tight, without being too tight. No wiggle room at all. A very nice lower in my opinion. So if you find yourself in the market for a budget lower, a Blem Lower from PSA can do just the trick!
